The City of North Las Vegas invites families and friends for “Free Movie Madness,” a series of family-friendly films shown on a large mobile movie screen at the North Las Vegas Park. Nature Discovery Park hosts pre-movie activities starting at 6:30 p.m., then the free screening of “Toy Story 3” begins at dusk. Food and refreshments are available for purchase. The District at Green Valley Ranch offers a free screening of the animated flick “Gnomeo and Juliet” under its “Outdoor Picture Show” starting 7:00 p.m. This family-friendly program features a free movie every Fridays and Saturdays for the entire month of September. The Theatre7 “Something Weird Presents” program features the Las Vegas premiere of the documentary “Herschell Gordon Lewis: The Godfather of Gore.” Screening starts 7:00 p.m. and tickets are sold at $7 each. The Clark County Library features the classic motion-picture piece “The Mexican Spitfire Out West” for its “Movie Series: Tuesday Afternoon at the Bijou: Lupe Velez, the Mexican Spitfire” program. This is a part of the library’s celebration of the National Hispanic Heritage Month (NHHM) through its special program “Diversity NHHM.” The Main Theater hosts this free screening from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Adults and seniors are welcome to attend.
