The Sci-Fi Center hosts the “Dr. Who Night” program from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring a version of the TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space), a time machine and spacecraft in the British sci-fi TV program “Doctor Who” and its spin-offs. This TARDIS can be a model, toy, or even a piece of clothing.

The Sci-Fi Center screens the independent feature “Doomed to Consume” from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Geared toward zombie and horror-thriller fans, this movie tells the story of an epidemic swiftly turning the locals of a small Midwestern town into zombies.

Fathom Events screens “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” as part of its nationwide re-releases of the first three films of the “Twilight” movie franchise. These screenings come prior to the upcoming release of “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” In Las Vegas, participating theaters for the program include Cinedome 12 Henderson, Regal Cinemas Green Valley Ranch 10, Century Orleans 18, Century 16 South Point, Century 18 Sam’s Town, Regal Village Square 18, UA Showcase Theatre 8, Regal Aliante Stadium 16, and Galaxy Cannery.

The Las Vegas Cinemark theaters Century 16 Santa Fe Station, Century 16 South Point, and Century 18 Sam’s Town feature the simultaneous screenings of the first three “Twilight” movies starting at 4:00 p.m. The screenings of the franchise’s latest offering, ” Breaking Dawn – Part 1, ” wraps up the movie marathon by midnight of Nov. 18.
Century Orleans hosts the Vegas Independent Film Festival (VIFF) with the Opening Night Feature “40 West” at 5:30 p.m. The Opening Shorts Program follows at 8:00 p.m. with the films “Cutting Seams,” “The Southern Belle,” “Blackstone,” “Pay Your Respects,” “Sugartown,” and “House.”
RAW Las Vegas features the semi-finals of the 2011 RAWards with the competing short films “Octo Circus” and “Technophilia.” The winning film goes to the nationwide finals as Las Vegas’s official entry. This event happens at Tommy Rocker starting at 8:00 p.m.
